I was the 3rd car to hit the horse shown in the last picture above. I will say that this was an accident that felt out of a horror movie. Wrong place, wrong time. I feel sorry for the horse owner as well being a horse lover myself but i wish more precautions would have been made. However it was not my fault or wreckless driving that caused this or the damage. No matter if I was going 40mph or the speed limit or weather there was a tree in the road I could have hit, there was no avoiding it. I am thankful my son was not with me and I am thankful I will eventually recover from this (i hope) unlike others. Unfortunately my family will suffer mentally and financially from this and I feel there is a root to all problems, it could have been avoided and there is a reason you have insurance on vehicles and animals. If you cant keep your animals safe after the second accurance and lives have been lost, someone should pay. Horrible for all parties and condolences/prayers for the the 1st vehicle This could have been me. Im sure many more nightmares will follow this day I will never forget.
